Jay and I went to Antigua for our first vacation in 2006. During the trip, he spelled out J 💙M with rocks underneath the shallow surf and called it Ocean Graffiti - I was smitten and loved it so much.
Then, when we got engaged he carved out J 💙M in the sand on Topsail Island in North Carolina, while I was reading a book on the beach -- it was The Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell.
We would eventually engrave the M 💙J / J 💙M on our wedding rings - here is the two of us at our engagement party in 2011.
I would find opportunities to demonstrate my love through my cooking. Combining my love of Jay and my love of food yielded these loving culinary creations:
A bleeding blueberry pie with homemade pie crust (top + bottom) and blueberry filling:
A savory bacon pie, our initials carved into the top crust:
Buttery sugar cookies with yummy frosting
